Where did we learn how to trust others? Where did we learn how to love? Where did we learn how to behave according to who we're with? Where did we learn how protect and where did we learn humility?
Did you learn these things from a good relationship with our parents or our guardians?
They become the painters of our empty canvases. They were the ones who helped mold us into an amazing person.
Similarly, that is how important a great caring relationship is to your dog, cat or any pet.
How you take care of them will be the outcome of their behavior.
Here are a few tips on how to strengthen your relationship status. What I mean is, how to strengthen the bond of the love that you have for your pet.
Have time alone together more often.
Any relationship starts from bonding. Getting to know one another. It's just the same with your pet. Bonding with them means understanding more and if you understand them you know what will make them happy. What makes them happy will make you both happy too!
We may wonder why commands or requests from our pets go the other way around. We might be thinking about it in the wrong way. Just like with children the more you say "no," the more they are likely to do the thing you don't want them to do. For dogs and cats the same is often true! Don't say no or don't always shout. Speak to them calmly and clearly. Hold their heads and tell them what you want them to do and not what they did wrong.
Put love in giving their food.
We all know that the way to a dog's, a cat's or any pet's heart is their stomach. Food and treats. When I say put love in their diet, that doesn't mean get the tastier and better food. Instead, put more effort, if you haven't, into the food you give them by mixing it up a little. Add some freshly cooked food with the dog food. Works every time!
Learn about them too!
Let's be honest when we don't know what to do. Search for the answer from our friends, our family or from the internet. We also need to learn our pet's natural behaviors to be able to know what they need and what they do not need. They don't need to do all the hard work, the training, the usual things we blame our pet's for when they're just innocent animals. Also we as owners need to take that time.
Snuggles and Hugs.
Connections connect us. Hugs and snuggles are the best way to connect with our beloved pets. The more they know that we care, that we are there for them, the more they will trust us. And when an animal trusts you they are likely to trust you for life.
It's how they are.
